I have been working for F.Hinds for just over 18 months and I have had an amazing journey so far with an incredible team and support. I am currently working on the company’s Management Training Scheme level 2, which I have almost completed. At the beginning of next year I’m hoping to be enrolled into the Management Training Academy.

My favourite part of my job is being my town’s local family jeweller - watching customers and their families come back for so many different reasons! I’m also a huge romantic and I love a proposal story so it’s great to be part of that process.

In such a short space of time I feel like I’m very much part of a big family, not just in my store but across the full company. I love how my colleagues motivate and support me.

I enjoy my job at F.Hinds because I feel like I am a valued member of a team. There is always SO much to learn and there are many ways I can develop my skills. I am passionate about brands so really enjoy being in charge of the fashion jewellery! I also love the face-to-face interaction and building long term relationships with our customers.

I’ve been working at F.Hinds for over 35 years and what I love most is that I feel part of the extended Hinds family, I’m not just a number on a payslip.

As a manager I am always learning something new every day, and our wide product range makes sure that no two sales are ever the same.

It’s wonderful helping my colleagues progress through our management training scheme. I’ve seen staff progress from Christmas temp roles to store manager roles and everything in between, which has been an absolute joy!

I’ve worked for the F.Hinds family since I was 17 and I can say in all sincerity that I wouldn’t ever want to work anywhere else. I started as a sales assistant and I have worked my way up to Sales Manager at the office, which of course came with some excellent benefits and salary growth.

My senior management role now provides a lot of variation, which means that every day is interesting and rewarding.

Like me, most people working in retail would agree that they love the buzz the festive season brings. Mince pies start to float about, silly jumpers are a must for Christmas Jumper Day and everyone works together to get whatever needs to be done, done.

This is the attitude we take with us throughout the year – we help each other out and we’re very resourceful.
