Please find below the answers to some of our most frequently asked questions.


I want to work for F.Hinds/Chapelle but I can't find the right role. What should I do?

We’re looking for new people to join our teams all year round, so check our site regularly. You can also subscribe to our job alerts - just visit our website and register with us to set this up.


How do I find out more about a job I’m interested in?

You can read information about the position on the individual job posting. If you have a specific question please either contact the store or email recruitment@fhinds.co.uk.


How do I apply for a role?

Use the search functions to find the roles you’re interested in, then click ‘Apply’ to start the online process. All applications must be made through our online process and include a CV in doc. or .pdf file must be uploaded.


I’m having technical problems with the website, what should I do?

Most people can apply online without any problem. If you are struggling with your online application, please email us at recruitment@fhinds.co.uk and we’ll do what we can to help.


Is there an age limit for joining F.Hinds/Chapelle?

When filling roles we care about the person and what they can do – not their age. Theres no upper age limit for working for us, and we welcome applications from all age groups. However, you’ll need to be old enough to officially leave school in the UK to join us.


Do I need to disclose any criminal convictions?

You only need to tell us about any unspent or pending convictions you may have. Please see the gov.uk website for an explanation of an unspent conviction.


I’ve applied, what are the next steps?

Once you have applied, you’ll receive an automated confirmation email (Remember to keep an eye on your Junk folder to make sure your email hasn’t ended up in there.) If you have not completed the additional questions, you will get a reminder to do this to complete your application. Our recruitment team checks applications on a daily basis to forward to the store manager, but due to the high volume of applications we receive the reviewing process can take a few weeks. We will get back to you as soon as possible.


How can I log into my profile to manage my applications?

On our careers page you can login to your account from the link in the to left of the screen. Once logged in you will be able to manage your profile, change job alerts, upload a new CV and withdraw from a position.


Why have I not heard back from my application?

We try to respond to as many applications as we can, via an automated response to start. If you have not heard anything further from us within 14-days we’re afraid that means your application hasn’t been successful. (Remember to keep an eye on your email Junk folder to make sure our response hasn’t ended up there)


Will I be given feedback on why my application was unsuccessful?

Unfortunately we do not offer feedback for unsuccessful candidates.


Can I withdraw my application?

Yes. Just log into your account via our careers website and you will be able to see and withdraw from any jobs you have applied for.


Can I use the same application for multiple jobs?

You cannot use the same application, however your CV will be stored to reload for any position. The additional questions must be completed for each role you are interested in as some questions will change.


What happens when I am offered a position?

Welcome to our team, the store manager or our recruitment team will be in touch with you to go over reference details and arrange a provisional start date.


When will my references be checked?

We’ll only contact your referees once we’ve made you a formal job offer and received your acceptance. However, any offer is still subject to us receiving suitable references.


What documents will I need to provide to prove my right to work?

We cannot offer you a role without seeing proof of your right to work. A full list of what is acceptable can be found on the gov.uk website.
